The Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University, established in 1839 as the School of Operations in Bulaq, evolved through various stages, becoming the Higher Institute of Engineering in 1946 and later the Faculty of Engineering in 1950. It has expanded its departments, adopted a credit-hour system, formed global partnerships, and focuses on research addressing societal and environmental challenges.
