About Us

STP “Steps Towards Progress” was founded in 2006 in Cairo University, as the first Student Activity in the Faculty of Engineering, and in 2018, STP moved to Ain Shams University, with the aim to develop youth in various fields.

Vision

To be a Leading Organization working on developing youth who will lead positive changes.

Mission

To develop youth in various fields personally and technically through academic programs, projects, and events in a value-oriented system, to take our part in providing a generation capable of playing its roles effectively towards itself, community and country.

History

  • Career Mart Event in CUFE – Dome in 2011.
  • Hat3la Beek Event with over than 3000 attendees in 2013.
  • Solar Race in CUFE – Stadium, as the first ever Solar Energy Car Race for Engineering Students in 2015.
  • MACHATHON 1.0 Event as the first ever Machine Learning Competition for students in Egypt, in 2020, with total prizes of 30,000 EGP.
  • MACHATHON 2.0 Event as the first ever NLP – In Arabic Event in the world, in 2021, with total prizes of 50,000 EGP.

This Year’s Main Event

MACHATHON 3.0 (Smart Cities Edition):

It is constructed of 2 main pillars:

  • A Machine Learning competition that combines the concepts of ML and AI with Smart Cities and IoT.
  • A summit that introduces the futuristic trends.
