KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Career is both academic teaching and professional consulting. His doctorate attained from Virginia Tech., USA / Ain Shams University was in Industrial Engineering. This followed Master in Engineering Administration from Virginia Tech, and Master in Production Engineering from Ain Shams University (Egypt). His B.Sc. was in Production Engineering (Ain Shams University). He is SIX SIGMA Green Belt Certified and is certified as a feasibility studies consultant for industrial projects. Has served, since 1983, as an Economist and Management Development/HRD Consultant for many institutional support/industrial projects. Has a strong background in enterprise restructuring and enterprise support activities, including management training, strategic planning, facilitation of the change process, privatization of the public sector companies, and improving the economic capabilities of enterprises. Has a sound experience in the Petroleum and Petrochemical sector, telecommunication sector, utility sector, and private business sector in areas like, productivity improvement, quality improvement, production planning, operational excellence, strategic planning, ERP, lean manufacturing and craftsmanship certification and re-engineering. He still retaining his teaching post at Ain Shams University and, for a while, at King Saud University in Saudi Arabia. Had also taught –on the national and international levels- numerous seminars in Soft Skills, Quality Management (TQM), Re-engineering, HRD aspects, Production Management, Statistical process control, Process excellence, Six Sigma, Engineering Economics, Feasibility Studies, Material Management (MRP), Maintenance management, Project Management and Safety Management. Had written papers and co-authored reports and textbooks on subjects relating to Marketing, Privatization, Re-engineering, Productivity Improving, Engineering Education, Economics, Industrial Management, and HRD. Moreover he has wide expertise in Education aspects like Curricula Development & Revamping and considered an authority in topics like Technology Education
