نبذة مختصرة

Dr. Nesma Eltoukhy obtained her Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering at the University of Alberta, Canada, in 2022. Her doctoral research focused on the remediation of oil sands tailings, contributing to the advancement of sustainable approaches for managing mining waste in northern Alberta. She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Environmental Engineering from Ain Shams University, Egypt. Her Master’s thesis investigated industrial wastewater treatment with a focus on dairy industry.

Dr. Nesma Eltoukhy research interests lie in the fields of water and wastewater treatment, anaerobic digestion, industrial wastewater management, and the remediation of oil-contaminated waste streams. She has taught a variety of environmental engineering courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels and is actively engaged in graduate student supervision. She currently supervises Master’s and Ph.D. students and is recruiting highly motivated students to join her research group.
