Integrating Artificial Intelligence into Engineering Education – A Case Study from Ain Shams University Faculty of Engineering
As part of the annual scientific conference activities of the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University for the academic year 2025–2026, a specialized lecture titled "Integrating Artificial Intelligence into Engineering Education: The Experience of Ain Shams University Faculty of Engineering" was delivered during the conference sessions.
The lecture was presented by Eng. Ahmed Tolba, Chief Operating Officer at Edusofx, and Dr. Amr Yehia El-Banhawy, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Power Engineering and Coordinator of the Faculty’s Artificial Intelligence Committee. The session highlighted the role of artificial intelligence applications in enhancing the educational process and improving learning outcomes across various engineering disciplines.
The lecture also showcased the Faculty’s AI initiative and the ongoing efforts to support digital transformation and integrate modern technologies into education and scientific research.
At the conclusion of the event, a number of faculty members participating in the initiative were honored in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the development and implementation of artificial intelligence applications within the Faculty. Honorees included Dr. Amr Yehia El-Banhawy, Dr. Tarek El-Hashemy, Dr. Waleed Abu El-Soud, Dr. Mohamed El-Sayed Ghiyad, and Dr. Ahmed Sayed Sabr, in appreciation of their significant role in the success of the initiative and in promoting a culture of innovation and academic development.
This event reflects the commitment of the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University to embracing modern technologies and supporting initiatives that contribute to advancing engineering education and scientific research systems.
