Ninth Industrial Advisory Board Meeting for International Programs Held at Ain Shams Engineering with Participation of Leading Industrial Institutions
The ninth meeting of the Industrial Advisory Board for the International Programs at the Faculty of Engineering – Ain Shams University was held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Amr Shaat, Dean of the Faculty, with the participation of a distinguished group of representatives from major industrial companies and institutions across various specializations. Among the attendees was Eng. Rami Salah El-Din, Managing Director and Chairman of Alstom Egypt, in addition to heads of the international programs, alumni representatives, and students of the international programs at the Faculty.
The meeting commenced with a welcoming speech by Prof. Dr. Amr Shaat, who emphasized the importance of continuous communication between academic education and the industrial sector in preparing distinguished graduates capable of meeting the demands of both local and regional labor markets.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, also highlighted the importance of the Industrial Advisory Board’s role in supporting the state’s directions and achieving Egypt Vision 2030 through strengthening the linkage between university education and industrial needs.
This was followed by speeches delivered by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Ibrahim Khalil, Director of the International Programs at the Faculty, and Dr. Osama Mohamed El-Nasr, Deputy Director for Coordination and Academic Advising Affairs.
In his speech, Eng. Rami Salah El-Din reviewed the major national transportation projects being implemented by Alstom Egypt, including the East Cairo Monorail Project, in addition to discussing aspects of support and cooperation with the Faculty.
Following the opening session, 11 specialized sessions were held for the various international programs at the Faculty, covering Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, Construction Engineering, Civil Infrastructure, Mechatronics and Automation, Architecture and Environmental Urbanism, Energy and Renewable Energy, Communication Systems, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Landscape Architecture, and Housing and Urban Development Architecture.
The meeting concluded with reaffirming the importance of the Industrial Advisory Board’s role in supporting and developing the international programs and enhancing integration between academic and practical aspects.
