Student Union
What is the Student Union?
The College Student Union is the official elected body that represents the students of the college. It consists of students who are selected through free annual elections organized within the college, according to the student union regulations.
Role and Function of the College Student Union:
- Representing students before the college administration.
- Organizing student activities (sports – cultural – artistic – social – scientific – scouting – student families).
- Fostering a spirit of belonging and responsibility among students and encouraging them to participate in university life.
- Contributing to solving student problems through communication with the college administration and various departments.
Components of the College Student Union:
The Union consists of:
- Union Members:
Two students elected from each academic year,They form the basic foundation of the Union Council. - College Student Union Council:
Formed from all elected members from academic years and includes:
• Union President
• Vice President
• Secretaries of the seven committees
• Assistant secretaries for each committee
The Union President and Vice President are elected from among the council members by secret ballot.

- Organizing the Welcome Event for New Students
- Organizing the Academic Orientation Day for New Students
- Organizing Annual Trips (4 Days / 3 Nights)
- Organizing One-Day Trips
- Organizing the Ramadan Sports Tournament
- Organizing the Football League
- Organizing the Chess Championship
- Organizing the Sports Day
- Organizing Literary, Cultural, and Religious Competitions
- Organizing the Knowledge League and Information Cup Competition
- Organizing the Annual Departments Introduction Conference

Conditions for Running in the Union Elections:
- The student must be an Egyptian national.
- The student must be of good reputation and conduct.
- The student must be in his/her academic year as per the applicable academic system.
- The student must not have failed in more than two courses in the credit hours system.
- The student must have documented student activity in the field of the committee he/she is applying for (except for first-year students).
- The student must not have been previously disciplined with any of the penalties listed in items (5) to (13) of the executive regulations of the University Organization Law.
- The student must not have been previously convicted of a felony or a crime involving dishonesty or breach of honor unless legally rehabilitated.
- The student must not belong to any organization or group that is illegal or terrorist in nature.
How and When Do Elections Take Place?
- The college announces the election schedule at the beginning of the first semester.
- The nomination period opens for a limited time during which students submit nomination forms.
- The forms are reviewed according to the legal conditions for candidacy.
- Elections are held through direct secret ballot within each academic year to select two representatives per year.
- After forming the union members, an initial session is held to elect:
- Union President
- Vice President
- Committee Secretaries
- Assistant Secretaries
