Ain Shams University Faculty of Engineering Welcomes Finaira Delegation to Discuss Opportunities for Joint Collaboration

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, the Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University welcomed a delegation from Finaira to explore opportunities for joint collaboration that contribute to developing students’ skills and aligning academic outcomes with the evolving needs of the labor market.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Amr Shaat, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Dr. Ayman Wahba, Professor of Computer and Systems Engineering; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Wathiq El-Kharashy, Head of the Department of Computer and Systems Engineering; Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Khalil, Director of the International Credit Hour Engineering Programs (iCHEP); and Dr. Dalia Selim, Head of the Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence Program.
Representing Finaira were Eng. Maged Mahmoud, Chief Executive Officer (CEO); Eng. Youssef Eissa, Strategic Program Management Lead; and Eng. Fady Aboul Gheit, Manager, AI Services Engineering.
Exploring Training and Joint Project Opportunities
During the meeting, both sides discussed opportunities for collaboration in several areas, including practical and summer training programs, mentoring and guidance programs, graduation projects, and jointly supervised research projects.
The discussions also focused on providing students with opportunities to address real-world challenges in artificial intelligence, data engineering, digital transformation, and financial technology, while gaining practical experience through large-scale projects and learning about industry best practices.
Advanced AI and FinTech Applications
The discussions also explored opportunities to benefit from Finaira’s expertise in Predictive AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Enterprise AI Platforms, and digital banking solutions, further strengthening the connection between academic studies and practical applications.

The meeting comes as part of the Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University’s strategy to expand its collaboration with leading technology institutions and provide opportunities that enrich students’ educational experiences through industry partnerships and direct exposure to practical applications.
