The Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University continues to strengthen its position as a leading academic institution through its Double-Degree Program in cooperation with Mediterranea University of Reggio Calabria, Italy. The program combines the rich heritage of Egyptian engineering education with European academic standards, offering students a comprehensive international learning experience.

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Sami, Professor of Urban Design and Planning at the Faculty of Engineering and General Coordinator of the Double-Degree Agreement with Italy, stated that the program has achieved remarkable success over the years. More than 100 graduates have joined prestigious architectural and consultancy firms across Europe, reflecting the high-quality academic preparation provided by the program and the graduates’ ability to compete internationally.

He explained that the program goes beyond awarding a dual qualification comprising both Bachelor's and Master's degrees. It also provides students with valuable opportunities to engage in international projects and global academic activities, helping to prepare future leaders in architecture and sustainable development.

The program has also gained international recognition through its participation in the Venice Biennale 2023 with the "NiLab" project, highlighting the creativity, innovation, and academic excellence of its students and graduates.
