The Faculty of Engineering team at Ain Shams University achieved a remarkable international accomplishment by securing third place overall in the 23rd Annual Undergraduate Seismic Design Competition, organized by the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) in Portland, Oregon, USA, with the participation of 46 universities from around the world.
The team also received three additional awards: Best Architectural Design, Best Team T-Shirt Design, and the Most Improved Team Award. In addition, its project was selected among the Top 10 projects in the competition.
This achievement reflects the excellence of the Faculty of Engineering students at Ain Shams University and their ability to compete on the international stage in earthquake-resistant design. The team was supported and academically supervised by a distinguished group of faculty members: Dr. Khaled Helal, Dr. Hussein Farid, and Dr. Tarek El-Hashimy. This success adds another milestone to the university’s growing record of achievements in international competitions.
