علشانك يا بلدي - جامعة عين شمس
Who We Are
Alashanek Ya Balady is one of the biggest student activities in Egypt initiated and totally run by students since 2004 , students who come from various universities, to share the experience for the sake of achieving the set goals.
The spirit of volunteerism pushes the campaign into success as nobody expects anything in return to what he does. We believe it’s our duty towards community, this is where our passion stems from.
We are Egyptian youth who wants to do something for our country and community, we believe that development will not only affect the Egyptian community but also shape our personalities and conceptions, because we believe we have something to offer, and it is our duty to reduce the suffering of the less fortunate in our society, we will do our best to draw the path we dreamt of one day; the path for a better country.
To live in a society free of slums and poverty through sustainable development.
We’re currently working inside “Khair Allah” district through 3 Programs which all aim to the development of Khair Allah’s residents through eliminating the problems of poverty and ignorance.
And these Programs are
- Awareness & Illiteracy Elimination.
- Economical Empowerment.
- Relief Support.
Our Main College Events
In which the students donate the papers and clothes that they don’t need any more and by their profits we enhance our projects’ role in Ezbet Khair Allah. And For clothes we do our filtration, washing and ironing then we make a clothes fair at the Khair Allah District.
A competition for the students and the student activities, made to encourage them to let their creativity shine.
Usually, the tracks we offer to compete in are making short videos based on critical topics related to the sustainable development of slums, or through making mobile applications that serve/help our programs in “Khair Allah”.
The Evaluation process to choose the winner is decided by voting on social media and the opinion of the external judges who are experts in each track.
This event is held for one day, where we invite speakers and many public figures to debate on an ongoing issue and have a platform of discussion between the speakers and the attendees. The attendees usually are numerous VIPs from NGOs, entrepreneurs, journalists, professors, and students.
