The Industrial Engineering team won third place in the Arabcab Scientific Competition, organized by the Arab Cable Manufacturers Association, in the field of using Artificial Intelligence in demand forecasting.

The winning Industrial Engineering team at the department of Design and Production Engineering includes: Prof. Dr. Amin El-Kharbotly, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yomna Sadek, Eng. Ahmed Othman, Eng. Islam Maged, Eng. Hazem Ahmed, and the student Mahmoud Marwan, in cooperation with Eng. Mina Maher from the department of Mechatronics Engineering.

It is worth mentioning that the competition was held on the sidelines of the 20^th Conference of the Arab Cable Manufacturers Association, which was held at the Mena House Hotel from February 5-6. 45 teams from different Arab universities participated in the competition, and the winners were:

1. American University in Cairo
2. American University of Bahrain
3. Ain Shams Univeristy
