Organization of an interactive awareness day for the academic advising aystem at the Faculty of Engineering Ain Shams University


The Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University under the supervision of Professor Omar ElHusseiny, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Ain Shams University, and Professor Ahmed Moneeb ElSabbagh, Vice for Education and Students Affairs, the Accessibility Center at the faculty led by Dr. Nabil Hamed and and the in cooperation with EVOLUTION network for student wellbeing led by Professor Doaa Kamal, and the in cooperation with the administrative of Academic Advisors for Interdisciplinary and Specialized programs, hosted Professor Rana El Helaly, Director of the Disabled Students Services Center at Ain Shams University, within the framework of the University efforts to raise awareness in the areas of accessibility and awareness role of the Center. 

The seminar included a speech by the Director of the Center, Professor Rana El Helaly, a lecture by Dr. Marwa Mundi, through which she explained the concepts of disability among students, its manifestations and effects, and a lecture by Dr. Huda Jamal, during which she explained the symptoms and manifestations of a defect or psychological problems in students. The seminar also included a lecture by Dr. Mostafa Elshahed, during which he explained how to detect and deal with unclear disabilities of the students. 
The organization of this session comes within the steps taken by the faculty to improve and develop the performance of academic advising system as the pivotal system in the academic life of the student from his entry to the faculty until his graduation, and provide advice and appropriate action to all students in all their differences. 
The seminar was attended by Professor Ahmed Moneeb ElSabbagh, Vice for Education and Students Affairs, Professor Khaled Kirah, Director of Specialized Programs, Professor Osama Elnesr, Deputy Director of Credit Hours Programs for Program Coordination and Academic Advising, Associate Professor Waleed Zein, Deputy Director of Specialized Programs, Professor Sabah Soliman, Coordinator of Spirit sector in EVOLUTION network for student wellbeing, and many coordinators and academic advisors.
