Course Aims
This course introduces Civil Engineering students to the essential concepts of Architectural Engineering, focusing on the integration of design principles with structural and construction systems. It aims to build a foundational understanding of how architectural decisions influence building performance, functionality, and sustainability, while fostering interdisciplinary thinking and awareness of codes, materials, and spatial planning.

The course emphasizes the multiplicity of architectural thinking. It introduces the theoretical approaches of contemporary architectural thoughts. The course discusses concepts of integration and comprehensiveness in architectural solutions, Principles of architectural criticism and techniques of evaluating projects are discussed.

يركّز هذا المقرر على تنوّع التفكير المعماري، ويقدّم لمحة عن الاتجاهات النظرية للفكر المعماري المعاصر. يناقش المقرر مفاهيم التكامل والشمولية في الحلول المعمارية، كما يتناول مبادئ النقد المعماري وتقنيات تقييم المشاريع.
