What Will Learn?

Course AimsThe aim of this course is to provide students with the needed knowledge and skills which enable them to define and illustrate the most common advanced construction systems, such as; Deep Foundations, Section-active, Vector-active, Surface-active, Form-active structure systems, precast, post-tension, and structural glazing systems. It is also of interest to define and illustrate the most common advanced finishing and cladding materials, such as; raised floors, curtain walls, stretched ceilings, GRC, and GRP.

Advanced building construction process and technologies, Wide span structure systems, precast and post tension systems, and Structural Glazing system, Advanced finishing and cladding materials and techniques such as: raised floors, curtain walls, Stretched ceiling, GRC and GRP, Base drawings concept and requirements, “US CSI” standards for working drawings: dimensioning, tagging, annotations, referencing, sheets organization, and others. -
