Principles of Architecture Design Studio

What Will Learn?

  • Course Aims
    By the end of the course the students will be able to relate elements and principles of design to the realm of architectural design process where analysis, synthesis, development and presentation are experienced. Students will design projects with simple functions focusing on the the configuration process considering the project concept, and/or inspiration. In this sense, students will start to understand creative problem solving (CPS) based on specific focus/objective.

    Basic design fundamentals and conceptual, formal, and spatial aspects of architecture. Design process route map. Design simple spaces and compositions by considering functional activities, spatial requirements, and circulation. Applications for small scale residential housing, with a preference for villas.
