What Will Learn?

  • Course Aims
    The course aims at educating students the fundamental skills to use traditional drafting techniques and principles of graphic communication effectively as a design tool. The course targets developing students’ drawing techniques in parallel with effectively concluding buildings’ projections and coordinating them. It enhances understanding orthographic projection, paraline and axonometric drawing. The course also aims at developing graphic skills in representing architecture drawings enhanced with shades and shadows in both 2D and 3D drawings. Different perspective drawing methods are also introduced (both interior and exterior), qualifying students to express buildings effectively with various 3D drawing methods.

    Fundamental skills of freehand drawing techniques and investigates the different visual design elements and principles. Different exercises are to be applied in both 2D and 3D. Communicating simple forms graphically by transforming visual information into a 2d image with shade and shadows, Visualizing 3D objects and presenting them in terms of perspective.
