Building Performance Simulation
What Will Learn?
-
Course AimsThe aim of this course is Enrich the student's basic knowledge about building environmental simulation. Through developing student's ability to use most popular simulation software to generate maps that assess building status. and train students to specify major simulation workflow for each environmental aspects through defining the problems due to simulation variables, and assume proper treatments and do the simulation for the second time (and continue in loops to meet the required values defined by codes)

English Description
The course introduces the basic concept of simulation with its main requirements. Through the course, student knows about different simulation programs, their required inputs, outputs and level of accuracy. In addition, student specifically learns to use specific software acquiring the expertise of Modeling spaces or buildings, ascribing their relevant features and environmental factors, and extracting the required performance parameters from the software outputs which (s)he can judge, therefore change design parameters and re-run the simulation to optimize the predicted performance
