Introduction to vertical control in surveying - Determination of the mean sea level in Egypt - Different surveying instruments used for height difference measurement - Different types of benchmarks - Ordinary and precise levelling - Calculation of levelling - Indirect methods for height differences determination ( Tacheometry, Trigonometric levelling, Principle of Total Station, and Principle of GPS levelling) - Applications of levelling - Grid levelling and generation of contour lines - Longitudinal profiles and cross sections - Computation of volumes of earthworks. -
