Integrated Optics

The objective of this research direction is the development of Si Photonics components serving both the sensor and telecommunication market. This includes the accurate analysis of integrated optical components as well as the development of new devices serving the market. A special focus is given to the mode division multiplexing for increasing the capacity of the optical communication systems.The new integrated optical solution based onplazmonic waveguides is also considered to allow more reduction in the size of the optical circuit.
