Reception of Students Interested in Enrolling in the International Credit Hours Programs at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University


The Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, is organizing an introductory lecture for new students interested in enrolling in the international credit hours programs (ICHEP) for the academic year 2023-2024 on Saturday and Sunday, 23 and 24 of September 2023, under the supervision of Professor Omar ElHusseiny, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Ain Shams University, and Professor Ahmed Moneeb ElSabbagh, Vice for Education and Students Affairs, Professor Mahmoud Khalil, International Credit Hours Programs Director. 
The event began with a speech by Professor Ahmed Moneeb ElSabbagh, Vice for Education and Students Affairs, and he conveyed the warm welcome of the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Omar ElHusseiny, to new students who had joined the faculty. Professor Ahmed Moneeb ElSabbagh welcomed the new students and expressed his happiness in their presence in this important academic institution that served the community, praising the prestige and importance of the prestigious faculty in the scientific and research field at the local and regional levels.  Professor Ahmed Moneeb ElSabbagh explained in his speech that these lectures aim to introduce students and their families and form an integrated view of the different programs and encourage them to choose the program closest to their aspirations and tendencies. 
The lectures included introducing students to the credit hours system, the bylaws, and the academic advising system by briefly explaining the rules and procedures that help them understand their rights and responsibilities throughout their time at the faculty. 
The lectures included an introduction to the various student activities, introducing the entity and activities of the Student Union, Youth Care, Social Solidarity, highlighting the importance of student activity in university life, and the attention of the faculty administration in innovation and encouraging different talents.  The lectures also included a speech for some outstanding students from various programs who talked about their balance between academic excellence, social life, and pursuing their hobbies through proper planning and effective management of time and priorities.  The event also included lectures from program unit heads, highlighting the specialization of each program and its laboratories, as well as partnerships, international cooperation, training opportunities, and various fields of work.
