Faculty of Engineering Ain Shams University Launches HSE Training in Collaboration with Orascom Construction
In the first steps to activate the cooperation protocol with Orascom Construction, and under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Munib Al-Sabbagh, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty organized a course for Health and Safety Environment (HSE), presented by the managers of HSE at Orascom, and due to the high demand for the course, the course was held in the Great Celebration Hall (Palestine) and this course was repeated again.
The opening of the courses was attended by:
- Engineer Tariq Al-Nabarawi, President of the Syndicate of Engineers.
- Prof. Dr. Ahmed Munib Al-Sabbagh, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.
- Dr. Nabil Hamed is the field training coordinator and responsible for organizing the training.
- Engineer Ahmed Metwally, Director of the HSE Department at Orascom Construction.
- Romani Daoud HSE Business Unit Manager at Orascom Construction (Lecturer),
- Engineer Saleh Abdel Ghani, Director of HSE at Orascom Construction (Lecturer)
- Engineer Mohamed Abdel Halim, Director of HSE at Orascom Construction (Lecturer)
1072 students participated in the two courses, 1060 students passed the final exam of the course, and the courses witnessed great interaction between students and lecturers, and a group of distinguished students in student activities participated in organizing the course. Because HSE is an essential element in all engineering activities with different and complex fields, the college and Orascom Construction are keen to repeat such courses, in addition to another set of activities and events on the same topic.
