The Engineering Faculty Library was established in 1950
Library Objectives
The library offers services appropriate to the needs of students, researchers and faculty members, aiming to fulfill the faculty’s objectives through various functions and activities. This is done through:
- Providing the necessary information resources such as books and scientific papers that enable the college to carry out its tasks related to providing research, study, and teaching services for students and faculty members.
- Providing paper photocopying services for books and past exams, as well as printing services for digital papers.
- Providing a borrowing service where a student is entitled to borrow one book for a week, which can be renewed for another week if the book is available and not in demand.
- Offering digital library services for searching the Egyptian Knowledge Bank and how to benefit from it for students, researchers, and faculty members.
Library Statistics
The library at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, contains the following:
- Student Library Hall: Approximately 11,530 books.
- Theses Hall: Approximately 10,150 scholarly theses.
- Faculty member Library Hall: Approximately 22,500 books.
