A group of students of the Interdisciplinary Materials and Manufacturing Programs for the stage of the Bachelor of Engineering Faculty of Ain Shams University under the supervision of Professor Ahmed Munib Al Sabbagh, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs and Associate Professor Ramadan Al Gamsi, Unit Head of the Materials Program, participated in the summer training of 2023 at Technical University of Clausthal in lausthal-Zellerfeld, Germany. Students have joined the Institute of Welding and Additive Manufacturing and the Institute of Polymer Materials and Plastics Technology Agricolastr (Institut für Polymerwerkstoffe und Kunststofftechnik (PUK)) to explore different disciplines while enriching their academic and personal growth. The training aims to join a multinational scientific team to identify the replacement of some cobalt alloys with nickel alloys and develop polyurethane-reinforced sisal fibres for use in advanced triple printing. This training ensures the acquisition of experience, confidence and integration of different environments to learn about different customs and traditions.  The students thanked Prof. Marika Gräbner and Dr. sc. nat. Leif Steuernagel for the good receptivity and valuable efforts of their groups.
