The Department of Design and Production Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, organized factory visits for students of Senior 1 to Al Salam factories, Itiko, and Sharky in El Obour and 10th of Ramadan districts within the activities of the course of selected topics in the manufacturing MDP486S. This visit comes from the keenness of the factory administration and faculty staff to link the curriculum to practical applications in the labor market. 
The visits included an introduction to the factory, as well as an introduction to die design and manufacturing, followed by a field tour of plastic manufacturing lines through injection and extrusion techniques.  The visit included identifying laboratory tests of imported raw materials and manufactured products. 
The students took several photographs, and the students, faculty staff, and the assistant who taught the course thanked and appreciated Eng. Mohamed Sharqawi, Eng. Amr Bakri, Eng. Mohamed Khaled, and Eng. Omar Faraj Ali, for their warm welcome and valuable efforts.
