Brief
Dr. Mansour graduated from Ain Shams University in 2000 and was appointed as a Demonstrator and Teaching Assistant at the same university in 2000. He was awarded his M.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering in 2003 from Ain Shams University. In 2004, Dr. Mansour started his doctoral studies at the University of Alberta in Canada and earned his Ph.D. degree in Geotechnical Engineering in 2009. Ain Shams University appointed him in December 2009 as Assistant Professor in the Structural Engineering Department. In June 2016, he was appointed as Associate Professor in the same department.
Dr. Mansour has twenty-four years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering, implementing both academic knowledge and practical field and design experience.
Research interests include testing and numerical modeling of the soft marine clays in Northern Egypt and their interaction with different types of structures; geotechnical earthquake engineering; characterization of fiber-reinforced sand; and behavior of deep excavations.
