Brief

Dr. Shedid is currently a professor of reinforced concrete structures in the structural engineering department at Ain Shams University and the head and director of MSCE consulting engineering. Marwan served as an advisor for the minister of transport for project follow up and technical support in 2018 -2019 then as an assistant for the minister for project evaluation, design and follow up in 2020 then as the minister consultant for structural projects in 2021. He also served as a National Expert at the Cabinet of Ministers in 2015-2016 following up on national projects executed in Egypt. Dr. Shedid is a consultant engineer in the filed of Reinforced Concrete Structures and held a P.Eng. Licence in Ontario Canada in 2011. He is a member of the Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers and was a member of the Canadian Society of Civil Engineers. He is also a reviewer in ASCE Structures and ASCE performance of constructed facilities as well as Elsevier Engineering Structures and Elsevier Ain Shams Journal of Engineering. Marwan volunteered in the engineering committee at Heliopolis Sporting Club in Cairo and as the secretary for the 15th International Conference on Structural and Geotechnical Engineering held by the department in 2018. Dr. Shedid has over 20 years of experience in the filed of structural analysis, design and construction of RC structures as well as repair and strengthening of existing buildings.
