Brief

Ahmed Shaker was born in Cairo, Egypt. He received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in 2003 and 2010, respectively, from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. He has been with the Engineering Physics Department, Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, since 1997, where he is currently a Professor. His fields of research include simulation and modeling of solar cells, 3D detectors, and nanoscale devices including TFETs and CNTFETs. Recently, he joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department, North Carolina State University (NCSU), Raleigh, USA, as a postdoctoral researcher where he is involved in solar cell and GaN-based LEDs fabrication and modeling.
