Landfill Bioreactors

Landfilling is the optimum solution for waste streams that cannot be reused nor recycled and for untreated mixed MSW, as it is the most economical and simplest technique for disposing MSW. For the developing countries, sanitary landfills are the natural waste management development from uncontrolled dumping practices. In this research area, landfill bioreactors are studied with respects to the landfill operations, effect of solid waste composition and load applications, waste settlement and biogas recovery.
