The Student Union and Youth Welfare is organizing a Recreational Trip to Siwa Oasis

The Student Union and Youth Welfare at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, organized a recreational trip to Siwa Oasis starting in January 2025 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Omar Husseini, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Moneeb El Sabbagh, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ragheb, Coordinator of Student Activities.

This trip was part of the social and recreational activities organized by the Student Union throughout the academic year to provide students with enriching experiences and encourage domestic tourism. The trip program included visits to Siwa Research Station affiliated to Desert Research Center and several iconic landmarks in Siwa, such as the Al-Mawta Mountain, Amon Temple, Cleopatra’s Spring, Shali Fortress, and the Great Sand Sea. Students also enjoyed a thrilling safari desert, sandboarding, and swimming in the salt lakes. One of the most breathtaking experiences was witnessing the mesmerizing sunrise and sunset views over Siwa’s islands.

In addition, the trip offered opportunities for relaxation at natural hot springs and a chance to experience Siwa’s unique culture, including traditional Siwan cuisine and local crafts. The faculty administration thanks the supervision committees for their dedication to facilitating the trip’s arrangements and ensuring smooth execution, including media coverage and event documentation.

At the end of the event, the students expressed their appreciation to the faculty administration for supporting such enriching activities and took many memorable photographs. Recreational trips like these are an essential part of the faculty’s efforts to provide students with educational and cultural exposure while fostering a sense of community and joy among them.
