"Sahra Al-Harrousa" on the stage of the Grand Hall of Ceremonies at the Faculty of Engineering Ain Shams University


Under the supervision of Professor Omar Elhusseiny, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Ahmed Moneeb Elsabbagh, Vice Dean for Education and Students Affairs, Professor Akram Farouk, Vice Dean for Environmental and Community Affairs, Professor Ahmed Ragheb, Coordinator of Student Activities at the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Doaa Kamal, Coordinator of Artistic Activities, Mr. Riad Abdulrahman, Director of Youth Care, Youth Care and the Student Union at the Faculty, the theatre team of the Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University performed the theatrical performance "Sahara al-Muharsa" at the theatre of the Grand Hall of Ceremonies (Palestine Hall) of the Faculty of Engineering on Wednesday 28/2/2024.
A play has been performed, "Sahra Al-Harrousa" which deals with the attempts of the French campaign to control the minds of the Egyptian people, and the popular conservative group responded to this during a popular play evening saluted by the band by order of the French army Napoleon Bonaparte in Cairo "Al-Harrousa" in 1798, directed by Mahmoud Hassan Garatsi and authored by Mohammed Abu al-Ala al-Salamuni. 
The play was screened at various festivals and competitions and received many awards, most notably the Arbitration Committee Award for Best Group Performance in the Egyptian National Theatre Festival in its sixteenth session of 2023 in addition to the Special Arbitration Committee Award and the Best Representative of the Third Second Role and the Best First Center Musician at the Grand Festival at Ain Shams University in 2023.
At the end of the play, Professor Omar Elhusseiny, Dean of the Faculty, commended the efforts and outstanding performance of the theatre team. He also emphasized the support of the administration of the faculty to the team and the provision of all material and moral support to the team to achieve many awards at all festivals.
The event was attended by several faculty staff and their assistants, youth welfare representatives, representatives of the college's student union, a group of students, and the public.
