Seminar titled Integrating BIM and Analysis with CYPE Software

The Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Omar Elhosseiny, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Akram Farouk, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and in collaboration with the International Collaboration Office, have received visiting engineers from CYPE to host a seminar titled “Integrating BIM and Analysis with CYPE Software” on February 20, 2024. They were received by Prof. Dr. Ayman Khalil, the head of structural engineering department. The seminar aimed to enlighten attendees on the latest advancements in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and its practical application in the field of construction engineering.
Evaristo Morata, Key Account Manager for the Middle East at CYPE, highlighted their diverse software solutions specifically designed for various engineering and construction needs.
Digeo Cueller, Technical Support Engineer at CYPE, presented a series of engaging examples showcasing the software's capabilities for high-rise structures, integrated architectural, MEP, and structural modeling, augmented reality, and virtual reality integration. He further demonstrated the software's analysis tools, which offer error identification, explanations, solutions, and verifying the model.
Waheed Elsherkawy, General Manager at Imaging Systems Engineering Co., spoke about the significance of efficiency in construction and introduced Imaging Systems' technology for converting scanned data into high-quality, layered BIM models.
The seminar provided valuable insights into how CYPE software can enhance efficiency, optimize workflows, and tackle complex construction projects with precision. Faculty staff and students gained valuable knowledge about:

  • The integration of BIM and analysis for improved construction practices.
  • CYPE's diverse software solutions for specific engineering and construction needs.
  • Features like error analysis, augmented reality, and diverse modeling capabilities offered by CYPE software.

The seminar was a resounding success, fostering productive discussions and knowledge exchange between industry and the academic community.
