A group of students from the interdisciplinary Energy and Renewable Energy Program and students from the specialized programs from Power and Electrical Machines Engineering and Mechanical Power Engineering Departments for the bachelor stage under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mostafa Marei, Director of the Center of Excellence for Energy, participated in the summer training 2023 at the Aswan Hydro Plants Generation Company Training Center within the grants provided by the Center of Excellence for Energy.
The two-week training aims to identify the infrastructure, construction, design, programming, operations and maintenance of the power plants at The Hight Dam, Benban Solar Station, Aswan Tank 1, and Aswan Tank 2.
The training included site visits, control rooms, and station maintenance workshops. Also, the summer training has included developing skills through workshops in leadership, teamwork management,  professional resume writing, and how to pass interviews successfully.
The students took several photographs and thanked Ms. Salma Elalfy, Project coordinator at Arizona State University, as well as the doctors, engineers, and technicians for their support and efforts during the training.
