Introduction to security and models. Classical ciphers and cryptoanalysis. Authentication protocols, Key distribution and management, Symmetric key cryptography, Public key cryptography. Digital signature. Hashing functions. Virtual Private Networking (VPN) and tunneling protocols (TLS, IPSec, SET). Firewalls, Intrusion detection, Offensive and defensive tools. Security issues in wireless technologies and mobile computing. Hacking in ethics and laws. -
