Introduction to Internet of Things (IoT) concepts and architecture. Connected devices, IoT technologies, IoT device programming. Sensing and actuating technologies. IoT protocol stacks (Zigbee, 5G, NFC, MQTT). Networking backhaul design and security enforcement. Data science for IoT. Cloud-based IoT platforms, such as AWS IoT. Cloud-based IoT service platform. Distributed monitoring service. Managing IoT resources in the cloud. Fog computing. Programming frameworks. Virtualization on Embedded boards. Collecting and managing data. Reliability, privacy, and security. IoT applications. -
