Transportation planning: Introduction to transportation planning. Stages of the urban and regional transportation plans, Data collection process required for the transportation plans, Stages of the travel demand forecasting process using the traditional sequential approach. Traffic Engineering: introduction to traffic engineering, traffic volume studies, Traffic flow parameters and characteristics, level of service analysis. Highway Engineering: classification of roads, basic principles of highways design, cross section elements, vehicles and drivers’ characteristics. -
