Graduation Project (2) LAAR
What Will Learn?
-
Course AimsThroughout the the second phase of the graduation project, students will be able to integrate form and function of complex landscape projects that will develop preliminary schematic design elements and layouts as part of the urban-scale landscape architecture project. Students will engage in the following activities to generate these design elements: - Site Analysis and Research: Students will conduct a thorough site analysis, considering factors such as topography, climate, hydrology, vegetation, and existing urban context. They will also research similar projects and case studies to gain inspiration and insights into successful design solutions. - Concept Development: Based on the site analysis and research, students will develop a conceptual framework for their project. They will explore various design themes, ideas, and narratives that respond to the project's objectives and the surrounding urban context. This conceptual framework will guide the generation of schematic design elements. - Program Development: Students will identify and define the program components necessary for the project. They will analyze the functional requirements, user needs, and spatial relationships between different elements. This analysis will inform the development of schematic design layouts. - Design Iteration: Students will engage in an iterative design process, generating multiple iterations of schematic design elements and layouts. They will explore different design options, considering factors such as circulation patterns, spatial organization, focal points, and integration of architectural and landscape elements. Through this iterative process, students will refine their design concepts and optimize the functionality and aesthetics of their project.

English Description
The student will build on the technical report presented by him regarding studies and program of graduation project. He is supposed to make use of all the skills, the fundamentals, and the technical information he gained during his study. The student will utilize all this background information in his plans and designs. He should prove through his work and at oral exam, his complete understanding of the elements of the project and his capability to apply them in his future career
