What Will Learn?

Course AimsThe aim of this course is to support students to: - Understand principles of urban economy. - Identify urban, social, political, economic and environmental problems. - Understand feasibility studies concepts and targets; - Apply feasibility studies techniques, in Urban projects; - Evaluate different types of feasibility for Urban projects; - Prepare and Present Business plan for Urban projects; - Solve projects economic and financial problems by using feasibility models, and - Evaluate and assess demographic and economic growth, trends and policies. - Share ideas and communicate with other (funding firms and governmental agencies)

This course introduces the basics of economics, theories of urban economics, feasibility studies, Economic models for cities and economic trends governing allocating of activities and uses. It addresses pre-investment, preliminary and final feasibility studies for urban projects. The course outlines different cost and revenues items in different project stages, cost benefit analysis, financial structure of projects, cash flow tables and balance between the execution time table and the financial structure of the urban project
