What Will Learn?

Course AimsThis course aims to provide students with deep knowledge of the vehicle body and chassis design, and to help students understand the static and dynamic forces acting on a moving passenger car. In addition, the students should be able to understand the design of vehicle structures with consideration of crash worthiness. The students also should be able to understand the design of braking system and transmission components and its desired performance. Applications of vehicle design using simulation- and finite-elements- software should be also studied.
