Introduction to applied projects in water engineering – Sample of main water-related projects in Egypt – Data needed for different Water projects – Data Analysis – Micro scale project and report – Water Projects specifications – Environmental aspects in water projects. The project of each team will encompass the conceptual and preliminary design of a medium-sized water engineering project. Students learn the water engineering design process, methodology, identification of objectives, codes, and formulation of design problems. Development and evaluation of sustainable design alternatives. Computer-aided design tools. Performance evaluation using modeling, sensitivity analysis, and cost estimation. The student is to prepare a physical model in the lab related to one of the water engineering problems to enhance his/her understanding of specific scientific facts and concepts. The student should conduct site visit/s to projects like the case study and prepare a site visit report and a poster demonstrating the carried-out activities and findings. -
