What Will Learn?

Course AimsThe aim of this course is to provide students with the needed knowledge and skills to, Have the capability to design RC columns and ties, Teach the students the basic principles of design of structural RC sections (eccentric forces), Study the behavior of long columns, Study the moment of resistance method for reinforcement curtailment, Provide full shear design for RC beams, Provide full torsion design for RC beams, Accomplish full design and detailing for reinforced concrete frames at both sectional and element levels.

Serviceability Limit States (Calculations of deflection and crack width). Design of members for shear and torsion. Bond and Development Length. Design and detailing of RC frames. -
