What Will Learn?

Course AimsThe aim of this course is to develop a Landscape Architecture project at an urban scale based on a real subject. The students will apply all their skills and knowledge to create convenient and creative projects by studying and analyzing similar projects, setting the program of the project components, analyzing the surrounding urbanization and its impact on the project, putting evaluation criteria, reviewing all data and tools required for the project, and compiling all the outcomes in a report and a presentation. By the end of the course, students will be able to •acquire different principles, designs skills, and practices techniques for integrated architectural, urban design and landscape projects •integrate form and function of complex landscape projects that will include design of light structures and fixtures as well as landscape elements •elaborate an appropriate relation between architectural, urban design and landscape design, determine basic principles that has to be considered in the design process, recognize the theory associated with design of landscape architectural principles •realize methods necessary for the integration of form and function of Architecture and landscape projects •elaborate analytical studies of site requirements and its role related to both subject project plot and adjacent neighborhoods
