What Will Learn?

  • Course Aims
    The aim of this course is educating students the fundamental skills of drawing manual preliminary complete architectural drawings’ set of simple buildings and to effectively analyze such drawings of more complicated buildings. It enhances the ability of clear accurate representation of building projections using proper different line weights. Same skills are also targeted in digital drawing learning. The course also aims at qualifying students of selecting proper structural system for simple buildings. Understanding, producing and coordinating between building drawings of different disciplines, such as architectural, structural, plumbing and electric systems are also targeted in this course

    Engineering drawing introduction, tools, techniques and skills. Drawing systems, Orthographic projection of engineering bodies, three dimensional drawings and mutual projection with orthographic projections. Fundamentals of buildings’ drawings, starting with architectural drawings, different projects phases’ drawings. Working drawings and details. Building sub-systems introduction, drawings and details. Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) and standards.
