What Will Learn?

Course AimsThis is a capstone project course that will allow students to work on a real-world problem in the mechatronics field. It aims to: 1- help students to select related project topic in mechatronics engineering. 2- provide students the opportunity to engage in teamwork activities that allow them to demonstrate their ability to apply the knowledge and skills they have gained throughout their educational years. 3- Push forward the student’s theoretical knowledge and academic skills to the practical and real-world challenges fitted with the requirements of the work market. 4- get the project completed efficiently, through guiding them in searching reliable literature, preparing, and presenting results, and writing the reports.

The second phase of the graduation project, where the students work in teams to address one of the problems related to the field of mechatronics. In this project, they break-down the problem into its main aspects, analyze the different parameters, conduct basic Modeling to the proposed solution components, and reach a preliminary design for the integrated mechatronic solution that address the problem under study. Basic implementation of the project is needed in this stage to demonstrate the feasibility of this solution as well. The students are needed to learn the fundamentals of project management to plan the work in this course, and how to conduct proper documentation in the form of a written report as well as a visual presentation -
