English Description
This course covers the physical principles of nuclear reactions and physics of nuclear fission, in addition to the performance and safety fundamentals of key nuclear power plant reactors. Topics include the role of nuclear power in clean energy and decarbonization, and the emerging role of nuclear in a desalination and green fuels production. The course includes physics of reactions, decay, fission processes, radiation and isotopes. The course covers key nuclear reactor thermal and fast breeding technologies (pressurized water, boiling water, molten salt, gas cooled, etc.). The course covers the performance and safety features of such technologies and their load control. The course covers also the maintenance and operability matters of nuclear reactors. -
