What Will Learn?

Course AimsThis course aims at: - understanding and applying architectural representation techniques. -studying the fundamental skills of freehand drawing techniques and investigates the different visual design elements and principles. - Applying Different exercises in both 2D and 3D. Students would acquire an ability to communicate simple forms graphically by transforming visual information into a 2d image with shade and shadows, and to visualize 3D objects and present them in terms of perspective.

This course includes studying the fundamental skills of freehand drawing techniques and addressing the modeling and graphics component of computer-aided architectural design. Different exercises are to be applied in both 2D and 3D. Students would acquire an ability to communicate simple forms graphically by transforming visual information into a 2d image with shade and shadows and to visualize 3D objects and present them in terms of perspective. This course explains computer usage as a tool for architects to be used in 2D/3D drawings representation, and three-dimensional production digital models, focusing on the basic concepts of raster and vector graphics. Students will also practice the use of digital programs that relate to the architecture profession, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Sketchup,, and 3DS MAX. -
