What Will Learn?

Course AimsThe Technological Design Studio (TDS) focuses on introducing design thinking and design process techniques to the students, which will be applied on large-scale projects that can overcome today’s challenges. It aims at developing the students’ skills in problem-solving and creativity to reach innovative building designs and solutions that take into consideration environmental, structural, and mechanical aspects.

Progressive technical design approaches are adopted embracing the intelligent adaptivity of buildings to cope with dynamic environment. Applying passive and active environmental control principles to create comfortable and healthy indoor environments. Integrating building systems into a comprehensive design that meets the functional, aesthetic, and environmental requirements of the project. Different types of building systems, considering Building Management System (BMS), Building Energy Management System (BEMS). -
