Course AimsThe aim of the course is to provide students with the needed knowledge and skills, which enable them to define and manipulate the most modern computer applications and the main design techniques of the main engine components, prior to design calculations and finally analyzing the performance of these designed components.

Using Computer Aided Design for optimizing automotive engines components: Cylinders block, Cylinder liner, Cylinder head and its assembly, Intake and exhaust systems, Piston assembly, connecting rod, Crankshaft, Cam and valves mechanisms, Cam shaft, Lubrication systems. Forces, moments, mechanical and thermal stresses are considered. -
