An introduction of transportation economics and transportation economics definitions, demand/supply relationships, market theory, elements of transport infrastructure and operations, assessment of transport infrastructure projects through cost-benefit analysis, transport costs, general pricing principles, public-private partnerships, planning and regulation of transport systems, case studies. Egyptian freight transport costs and distortion in mode choice with impact on the national economy will be studied and compared with similar cases world-wide. -
