The Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Hosseiny, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Amr Shaat, Vice Dean for Postgraduates and Research, and in collaboration with the International Collaboration Office, has received the visiting Professor Dr. Joan Kiptauros, Professor at Moi University, Eldoret - Kenya, and graduate students from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. The Faculty of Engineering will host the postgraduate students for one year (2023/2024) in order to collect scientific material and attend lectures at the Faculty.
The visit took place within the framework of the international Erasmus+ and intra-Africa project entitled "Promoting scientific exchange and regional integration in engineering education between African universities" as one of the Intra-ACP projects between six African universities and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Al-Mostafa, coordinator of the project at the Faculty. The visit aimed to support and enhance joint scientific cooperation with the African countries and to discuss the different ways of facilitating scientific exchange between the participating African countries.
